I remember watching it when it was first aired, I laughed more at the invisabkle animals part.

I dont really like it, the only bit I laughed at was the pulley on the arm when you go to reach for the forehead the meat comes down (if you get what I mean?). The best bit of that show is "Do we need Dog Food?"

Hehe that was great.

Personally I love, "No imaginary animals were harmed in the making of tonight's show. Except this panda!"

I love it, but i love all of ross's ramblings.

I think it lost its appeal for a lot of UK people because that apollo show was all a lot of new fans had seen and it became almost like a catch phrase. When i first saw it, i had never heard it quoted or anything (ordered the dvd from the site) and i had seen years of noble before that, so it was just yet another funny thing of his.

I really like meat on face (despite being a veggie) but I think it is overrated. People always seem to request it at live shows and it's become almost his signature move, which is unfortunate as I think he has loads of better stuff. I also kinda get the feeling Ross himself is not entirely happy with the way he's associated with meat on the face almost exclusively. I prefer his ice-cream van routine, the muffins, the mythical winged beasts diet, the encounter with the drug dealer, the narcoleptic horse and so many others.

woo veggie! *is one too*

and I totally agree! Theres a video on youtube where he sounds pretty pissed off abotu the meet on the face thing, I cant remember which but if you hunt around you could probably find it.

Ross isnt really the catphrasey type of comedy. If yu go to one ahow you have no guarentee he will say the same thing on the next.

Exactly, that's what makes him one of very few comedians you can see a few times on the same tour and get totally different material each time. He's a bit like a band in that sense.

mmhhmm,

im seeing him 6 times so I'll be in the perfect position to comment on the no repetion of material.

so far it hasnt been great, but then one was preview and one was a day or two after. Still some extra parts added in or taken out:)

even if he does rpeat jokes he usually changes them somehow, which makes it a tad better:)

And if he does repeat jokes, they're never in the same order too. Don't forget that

Well, obviously there is some repetition but as he improvs a lot of his stuff, there isn't a great deal.

Yeah i saw him 5 times here in aus and there were about 4 or 5 stories that were repeated. But he didnt always tell them all, so like one story i heard only twice or something.

Also almost the entire first half was usually fresh material, the repetition was usually in the second. I still laughed my ass off even after i'd heard something 5 times because it always evolves

Very funny but not of my fave Noble ramblings.
Limbs were nearly dropping off when he said "except this panda". Christ.
And also I preferred the 'bizarre village' he made up.
